University of Calgary, Conference Housing

From May to August, the University of Calgary rents out the student residence to groups and individuals visiting Calgary. The U of C is centrally located with easy access to Downtown, Foothills Hospital, Stampede grounds, the airport and Banff. While staying in residence, guests can enjoy many of the facilities the University has to offer such as the Olympic Oval, climbing wall, student cafeteria, the MacEwan Student Centre and much more.

  • The above rates have been quoted without taxes. Final billing will include 7% GST and 5 % Alberta Hotel Tax.

  • Each guest pays his or her first night’s accommodation upon booking. The deposit is credited towards the guest’s final bill. Should Disabled Sailing Association wish to cancel this booking, all cancellations must be communicated to the Manager Conference Housing.
  • Should multiple rooms be booked by individual teams, deposits will be negotiated individually with the team. Full payment is required prior to arrival.

Hotels and Motels

There are a number of Hotels and Motels within 15 minutes of the Glenmore Reservoir.

• The Glenmore Inn and Convention Centre isoffering out of town Sailors attending the Mobility Cup a special rate at their Hotel. This special rate of $99 would be effective for August 22-27th of 2005. Contact Colleen Hodge directly at 720-5276 and mention this discounted rate. Campgrounds

There are a few campgrounds that are just west of the City, and are about 20 minutes (30 in rush hour) from the Glenmore Resevoir.

• There is also a KOA campground - if you are a member.
