Mountain Parks

Here is a site for downloading pdf booklets on the mountain parks. Start with the Mountain Guide.

Merle's recommendations from the Mountain Guide:

  • Page 11 - Banff townsite, Cave & Basin Historical site, Bow Falls, Upper Hot Springs, Cascade Gardens, etc. You could ask to see if they would let you on the Banff Gondola for an elevated view.
  • Page 13 - Banff National Park - Johnson Canyon, Peyto Lake & Crowfoot Glacier lookouts, Columbia Icefields
  • Page 15 - Lake Louise townsite, Lake Louise, Lake Morraine.
  • Page 23 - Yoho National Park - All the wheelchair accessible venues are spectacular. I think that you can get to The Natural Bridge as well.

Also consider going to Drumheller badlands and the Royal Tyrrell Museum, (1.5 hrs from Calgary).

Three or four days should give you ample time to see all these sites, as well as see more of Calgary.
